Every Day Should Be A Hustle Day

The world is changing and changing fast and all of us are caught up in the change. Change can be traumatic for many of us. We often try to ignore it and behave just as we always have but it gets harder and harder not to face up to the reality that change is happening. All of us are in the publishing business and if you haven't seen all the signs that are confronting us every day then you better wake up and get with it. These are not normal times by any means and if you want to survive in these dramatic times you must make drastic changes in your work habits in order to cope with the chaos around you.

It would be nice to laugh everything off and simply wait for the good old days to come back. The good old days may be only a few weeks ago! But you would be making a big mistake! A mistake that might very well put your career on the path to nowhere. Some people don't seem to get it. We are in the fight of our lives to stay alive. Many newspapers and magazines will soon be history. They will simply disappear and be gone forever. It can't be, can it? Yes, it can! Look around you and see the carnage that is already taking place.

I don't care what your title is or how long you have been in the publishing business or how many people you know. What is needed now is an extraordinary effort on your part to literally change your life. It means working extra long hours and it means sacrificing a lot of your comfort zone and doing things that you've never had to do before.

Right now two things that stand out are customer loyalty and customer service. Companies and organizations that understand how vital a customer is to the success of their business will win but those that just continue to give their customers average service will be treated as fringe businesses by their customers. So the solution is really as simple as giving your customers your most intimate and undivided attention 24/7. That's right-24/7. Let them know you care about them more than anything else in your life and then be with them as often as you can. Don't sit there, get off your duff and go to war. Every day should be a hustle day! Make it happen over and over and over and forever! If you do, you'll never lose and you might just turn the world on its head.

Selling is about change and so is life. If you dream success, you will be successful.

Remember, attitude is everything!
